Hi folks,
If you all know me , you would know how much I lover art and how I myself have learnt few techniques over the time . Recently I got into a chat with “Durgesh Shakar” and his idea of art is so intellectual that you actually understand how art is a companion.
Recently , an art festival was held from 13th Feb to 19th Feb and I little late to post this. The whole highlight of the event was that they had 10 Nationally awarded artist fro Rajasthan who were asked to show their skills for the exhibition.The event was held in Lalit Kala Akademi (Delhi).
Durgesh Shakar being an art and culture lover helped artist by bringing them together in a platform . During my 1 hour chat with Durgesh Shakar , I could understand how he considered paintings as a companion and lesser a an object . He said he had stories for each paintings he had and that passion to understand paintings has led to this event.
Unfortunately , I wish I could attend the event 😦 This is probably the first “non-fashion” topic I have covered in my blog.Did I mention that the guest of honors were Ashwani Lohani,Javed Aktar, Shabana Azmi,Ambika Anand .Overall , the event was a success and I am more than happy that it was so.
Its always great to see your culture flourish and help getting recognition for the masses
